I’ve done it. I have my 1st Texas haircut. The result is not great but not the worst I’ve ever had.  She had a problem believing that I really wanted it cut that way. She wanted to soften (feather it) around my face so now I have a few almost bangs that will drive me nuts by not staying where they belong. Hopefully she understood when we finished that the almost bangs are a no-no.

The back of my hair is not shaved up as high as I like but that is not the beautician’s fault. I still have the scab from my head injury which is right on the edge of the weight line in back. She dropped that line down a little so the scab is covered. She didn’t really want to cut the lower back as short as it needs to be so that did take about 4 redo’s. It could really have been a little shorter but we can try for that next time.

She did not attempt to rat it up so it doesn’t qualify for the C-U-T-E cute look I was warned about (thank you, Genny). It should grow out in about 4 weeks so I can have it cut again. At $10, I can afford to do that often. Wish me luck.

It must be haircut week. I just had a similar experience, but with the stylist I have been seeing for 30 years. She has just switched salons, and I’ve decided to grow my hair longer. Too many changes all at once. Next time will be better, I hope.

I’m just glad you found someone one even if you did have to try four shots at the back and it is still not right. You had a good start, and didn’t bleed all over her clippers!

It may be that I didn’t bleed all over her clippers because she didn’t have her regular clippers at the shop. She had to do the back with scissors and then a comb and shaver. It is not the easiest way to do it.
I’m sorry about your cut. Next time will be better for both of us!

Always remember – hair does grow and you probably won’t need to have your head shaved to make it even 🙂
